Tropicana AC Welcomes 4 New Great Places To See

The Quarter swings into spring with new experiences from shopping to nightlife

Tropicana Casino & Resort is adding even more excitement to the mix by introducing four new nightlife and shopping experiences to The Quarter, consistently voted Atlantic City’s “Must-See Attraction.”
“It’s always exciting to announce unique retailers and new nightlife experiences at Tropicana. The continued growth of The Quarter underscores our commitment to providing guests with a premium entertainment experience that is never stale and never boring,” said Tony Rodio, President and Chief Operating Officer of Tropicana Entertainment.  “By adding four new retail and nightlife tenants, Tropicana is also playing an integral role in the efforts to boost the local Atlantic County economy.”
Signatures:  Now open! Signatures offers a wide variety of stylish clothing for men and women from Columbia Sportswear, Calvin Klein and Michael Kors as well as a full line of Tommy Bahama apparel. Golf labels such as Callaway and Greg Norman are also available for those who love to spend time on the links – or just look like they do. For those headed down the aisle, Signatures offers bridal and bachelorette lingerie and gift items from Classy Bride.
Sea Shore Kids – Now open! A baby boutique featuring Layette items, playwear, swimwear, diaper bags, educational toys and more. Sea Shore Kids offers clothing by Paul Frank (as seen in Saks & Bloomingdales) Hurley, Little Me, Mudd Pie, Kidorable, Kenneth Cole, Ralph Lauren and more.
Anthem Lounge – (formerly 32 Degrees):  Coming Soon!  Anthem will offer a new concept in nightlife with emphasis on all that is stylish and trendy. Anthem will appeal to a range of clientele, with a wide variety of choices and reasonably-priced bottle service, and VIP Service for all. The new club will offer visually stimulating experiences such as a 360 degree cylindrical screen visible throughout the lounge and in parts of the Quarter, and a photo booth with a live feed, creating an energy that will kick the nightlife energy up a notch.

Boogie Nights at Tropicana: You will soon be seeing lots of polyester and platform shoes at Tropicana Casino & Resorts when an Atlantic City original, Boogie Nights opens at the Tropicana this spring. The new club will house an incredible new sound system, state-of-the-art lighted dance floor along in a new space that spans over 8,000 square feet and located adjacent to Tango’s Lounge just off the casino floor.
Boogie Nights is a time warp back to the era of 8-track disco, bell bottoms, sideburns, crushed velvet and afros. Retro-style furniture, specialty pop culture cocktails and an oversized disco ball will create the ideal atmosphere for a night of flashback fun.  DJs will spin the traditional high energy dance mixes from the 70s and 80s, along with video walls, iconic images, sexy go-go dancers, celebrity look-a-likes and the cast of characters including Roller Girl and Mr. Boogie will all be part of this exciting blast from the past.

Chaka Khan.... Chaka Khan is Coming To AC!

SOMETHING GOOD!
Chaka Khan, winner of ten Grammy awards, will offer a fabulous set of her hits as she takes the stage at 9 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2012, in the Tropicana Showroom.
She is undeniably one of those singers whose music has staying power. More than 30 years into her career, Chaka Khan remains one of the most exciting and consistent performers in the music industry. Accompanied by her 13-member band, Khan will sing from her treasure trove of hit music, including the best sellers: “I Feel for You,” “Through the Fire,” “Tell Me Something Good,” “I’m Every Woman,”  “Ain’t Nobody” and “Do You Love What You Feel?”
In a crowded music field, Khan remains at the top of her game, with 10 Grammy Awards, countless Lifetime Achievement awards and sold out concerts worldwide.
It was 1970 when Khan burst onto the top of the music scene as the lead singer for the multi-racial band Rufus. Khan’s all-powerful voice, show-stopping stage presence and elaborate costumes created a standard that set her apart from any other singer before or after her.
As with many artists, Chaka sought to establish a solo career. She left Rufus and immediately released the smash hit, “I’m Every Woman.” Her catalog grew even more impressive with such hits as “Clouds,” “Papillon,” and “What’Cha Gonna Do For Me?” She later collaborated with the artist Prince on the song that made her a household name: “I Feel For You.”
Although known for her soul and R&B music, Khan has demonstrated versatility through her pairing with countless artists, including Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, and Quincy Jones. Additionally, Khan’s powerful vocals can be heard on a number of soundtracks including the movies, “Clockers,” “Set It Off,” “Miami Vice,” “White Knights,” “27 Dresses,” “Bridget Jones’ Diary,” and “Madea’s Family Reunion.”
In her fourth decade as an artist, Chaka Khan has shown no signs of slowing down. Don’t miss your chance to see this diva of soul on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Tropicana. Tickets are $40, $50, $65 and $75.  Tickets are available through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com or via phone at1.800.736.1420, or at the Tropicana Box Office.
