A summer bash like no other, The MMA & Sports Expo Show of Strength returns to the Boardwalk and Beach in Atlantic City at The Pier Shops at Caesars casino and Bally’s July 7th and 8th 2012



The event will feature Celebrities, World Champion Strongmen and new this year the Muscle Beach Bikini & Physique Championships and the Mariani Gourmet Food BBQ competition sponsored by Kurt Angle Food and The Pier Shops at Caesars.

The Russian Ballet Comes To Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (June 13, 2012) — The word “ballet” conjures images of  conventional steps, leaps, and spins as well as graceful glides, and poses.  Alla Duhova’s Todes Contemporary Russian Ballet, however, is so much more.  It is an extravaganza of sounds, colors, emotions, and a fiery mixture of dance trends and technical tricks.  This exhilarating blend of theatre, ballet, break dancing and athletic choreography will evoke excitement and awe at the Tropicana Showroom Friday, July 27th and Saturday, July 28^th.

 Named after the most dangerous element in figure skating, the TODES ballet company is led by esteemed Russian director and choreographer Alla Duhova.  For over 20 years, the dance company has toured through France, Italy, Germany, England, Israel, Bulgaria, China, Australia and South Korea in some of the largest and most prestigious concert halls in the world.

To The Last Bite...by Joe Peace Your True Blood Season 5 Weekly Re Cap!

Just Sharing my thoughts week to week on True Blood Season 5.

I was thoroughly under-whelmed with Season Four of True Blood.

The writers seemed to aimless meander way too much.

So far Season Five seems to be starting in the right direction with Vampire Tara.

So far after watching the season premiere of Season Five here are my thoughts.

1. I love actress Rutina Weseley. I hated that they made her character a slut hoping in the sack with any and almost everybody and everything. 

I am hoping that they really use Vampire Tara as a major character.

2. I also like that Lafeyette now on witch/ghosts steroids has some back bone to stand up to the super natural jerks as well as the human jerks.

3. What I have ALWAYS enjoyed about True Blood is that like Dark Shadows before it, anything under heaven and earth can find its way into the True Blood Universe. The writers constantly ask WHY NOT?

4. I really don't care about The Authority.

5. I really believe Russell is going to do some damage.

6. And Eric.... eeeeeeew. You are 2000 years old. You never saw the After School Special that said " banging your sister is wrong?"

Stakes Out New Territory with Familiar Faces

In the Wake of The Closer's Series Finale

 

TNT's all-new drama series Major Crimes is ready to take television's favorite squad of detectives into bold new territory. Two-time Oscar^® nominee Mary McDonnell stars in the series, continuing her Emmy^Ò-nominated role from The Closer. Joining her are fellow Closer veterans G.W. Bailey, Tony Denison, Michael Paul Chan, Raymond Cruz and Phillip P. Keene, along with guest stars Robert Gossett and Jon Tenney.  The series also stars Graham Patrick Martin as a homeless juvenile whose character will be introduced in the final episode of The Closer, and Kearran Giovanni as Detective Amy Sykes, an ambitious undercover police detective and military veteran who served in Afghanistan.

Major Crimes is slated to premiere Monday, Aug. 13, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT), immediately following The Closer's series finale. The show will then move to its regular Monday 9 p.m. (ET/PT) timeslot.

As the new series opens, the detectives in the Los Angeles Police Department's Major Crimes division are still reeling from the departure of Brenda Leigh Johnson and the realization that Captain Raydor is now in charge. Unlike their previous chief, Raydor is determined to lead the department with a more team-oriented approach, sharing the credit with the people with whom she works. Raydor's hardest job, however, will be gaining the full trust and confidence of her detectives, who aren't quick to forget her long history of internal investigations targeting them and their previous boss. Especially troublesome is Provenza, who has a difficult time taking orders from someone he doesn’t think knows as much as he does.

"Major Crimes will feel very comfortable to fans of The Closer," says executive producer and creator James Duff. "We are not only keeping many of the same cast members but also shooting and editing the show in much the same way. And there will still be a lot of that great banter between characters, especially between Raydor and Provenza."

While The Closer's focus has been on the lead character's uncanny ability to secure airtight confessions from suspects, Major Crimes will center on what it takes to secure an airtight conviction. The show will explore how the police and prosecutors work together to build a solid case that will result in a suspect confessing, signing a plea agreement, or being found guilty in a court of law.

"Despite its connections to The Closer, Major Crimes is very much its own show," Duff continues. "This new series allows us to explore these characters in new and exciting ways, especially as they begin to interact more with the District Attorney's office in order to build airtight cases. We also have the opportunity to see a different side of Captain Raydor as she deals with significant changes in her life both inside and outside the job."

Dallas 2012 Preview

 

The show that defined TV drama in the 1980's is back now on TNT.

The Good News-If TNT hands the 2012 reigns over to writers as good at framing stories and writing dialogue as they have shows like The Closer and Franklin and Bash?

Then Dallas 2012 will be 4 times better than the Dallas of the 1980's.

The Bad News- Is that the original cast was anchored by actors who were seasons with more skills than the ability to be cast on Bay watch 2012.

The new cast has a number of actors who look like super models but I hope are at least average actors.

I can't imagine that the original Dallas would have been such a success if the entire cast acted as only as well as Charlene Tilton.
