Ball Night To End AIDS in Africa

Friendly Competition Sports Program will Host END AIDS IN AFRICA Basketball Showcase
Atlantic City, NJ – October 17, 2012 – for immediate release. On October 28th Friendly Competition in conjunction with the NIKE(RED) initiative will be hosting a high school basketball showcase. Participants were selected by Coaches of Cape Atlantic League schools.
Players: Rosters will be announced on ESPN RADIO 1360am Saturday October 20th
Friendly Competition has 2 goals.
1. to get the student athletes of south jersey more recognition and exposure.
2. To help raise awareness on how AIDS is a virus that
can be eliminated. US, AFRICA, WORLDWIDE
Bruce Davenport Owner/Operator has done sport& fitness event since 2009 in Atlantic County. Some including Crossfit competition, a Golf tournament, a 3 on3 tournament, all which had raised money for local organizations. His current event does both, raises awareness for AIDS IN AFRICA and helps the youth exposé their talent to the world.
“Plain and simple, South Jersey Sport Culture is behind in regards to the rest of the country. All I want to do is help progress our sports culture and get our local talent the recognition they deserve.”
“ It is important for people to get involved in their community and the world. We have to expand our minds and get away from the “what about me” mentality”

Players who were not pre selected can compete for a spot in Sundays Show case on Saturday Oct 27th. Also Friendly Competition will conduct a Sports Education Sat Oct 27 at PHS in conjunction with the NAACP.

MEDIA WILL BE ABLE TO INTERVIEW PLAYERS, NIKE ASSOCIATES AND KEY CONTRIBUTORS DURING THE MEDIA SESSION OCT.28TH 11:00AM-12:00PM @ PLEASANTVILLE HS.
